THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR FOR
INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN GOLD,
COINS, PHILATELY AND PRECIOUS STONES
The INVESTOR trade fair offers visitors a unique opportunity to buy gold, coins, medals, banknotes and precious stones all at one place. Participating at the trade fair will be leading mints and several dozen dealers from around the world, who will be offering their goods at much more affordable prices than are available over the counter in regular stores. The INVESTOR trade fair will be held as a part of the traditional SBERATEL/COLLECTOR trade fair, which is the largest gathering of collectors of postage stamps, coins, minerals and postcards in Central and Eastern Europe.
In conjunction with the 15th jubilee year of the international trade fair Collector and the Prague Gem & Mineral Show, the second successful year of the international trade fair Investor 2012 took place in Letňany exhibition grounds in Prague. The Investor offered 12.000 visitors, including 268 exhibitors from 35 countries, a chance to invest in gold, coins, medals, bank notes and gems. The Investor is not only a sale exhibition but also a place where visitors and business partners have a chance to meet and start to cooperate.
A number of leading mints together with dozens of dealers from around the world took part in the trade fair Investor. This fair took place as a part of the Prague Gem & Mineral Show and Collector, which is the biggest meeting of collectors of stamps, coins, minerals and post cards in Central and Eastern Europe.
Companies from the Czech Republic as well as foreign companies presented their investment interest. These were e.g.: Czech Mint, Antium Aurum, Carl Schefer, Hungarian Mint, Kremnica Mint, Emporium Hamburg, China Gold Corporation, South East Trading, Soliter, Silverum, National Treasury, Golden Coins, Numiscollect, Ducat and many others.
The highlight of the exhibition was the ceremonial unveiling and the subsequent auction of a one-kilo gold medal of the Golden Bull of Sicily at the stand of the National Treasury. The profit from the auction was donated to The Institute for the Care of Mother and Child.
Investors had an opportunity to buy a unique half-kilo platinum medal dedicated to Václav Havel at the stand of the Czech Mint. This rarity was edited in cooperation with the Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation and was one of the last copies out of ten made.
Numfil Company which represents the Auction House Künker in the Czech Republic offered an opportunity to invest in a coin which appears approximately once every 20 years. It is the Ferdinand III 40-value ducat dated to the 17th century from the Czech Mint Prague, 139,34g, Fb.45. In books, it is designated as the crowning, perhaps the only one preserved sample in private hands. It is extremely valuable. The Ferdinand III golden coins from the Prague Mint with the year 1629 are very precious mintages and also very highly valued by investors.
Exclusively for the fair Collector, the Prague Mint prepared a unique silver medallion with the logo of Collector 2012, which was available for purchase during the fair. It was the first time we had such an official medallion!
The aim of the trade fair INVESTOR is to offer an opportunity for visitors who may not be active collectors, and numismatic experts to invest in stable commodities and to compare the offers of different companies at one place.
On the occassion of the 15th fair anniversary
the Prague Mint issued the collector´s rarity
– a silver medaillon. The number of copies has
been limited to 399 pcs.
